Time Of My Life

Horray! I finally finished reading Something Borrowed (five days ago). haha x] I am currently reading Time of my Life by Allison Winn Scotch. I'm on chapter 5 now (out of 30). -___- Ahhhh I only read one chapter per night, right before I go to bed (no wonder it takes me so long to finish a book). But anyways, the first four chapters are pretty good. It's written in first person point of view (so I can easily understand it). I bought this book at Costco (or my mom did since she paid for it). I bought it for $8...(something), but at the back it says $14.00. So yeah I'm happy it was cheaper :]
Here's the summary (written at the back of the book):
Jillian Westfield has a life straight out of the women's magazines she obsessively reads. She's got the modern-print rugs of Metropolitan Home, the elegant meals from Gourmet, and the clutter-free closets out of Real Simple. With her investment-banker husband behind the wheel and her cherubic eighteen-month-old in the backseat, hers could be the family in the magazines' Range Rover ads.
Yet somehow all of the how-to magazine stories in the world can't seem to fix her faltering marriage or stop her from asking "What if?"
Then one morning Jillian wakes up seven years in the past. She's back in her Manhattan apartment. She's back in her fast-paced job. And she's still with Jackson, the ex-boyfriend, and star of her what-if fantasies.
Armed with twenty-twenty hindsight, she's free to choose all over again. She can reconnect to the mother who abandoned her, she can use ad campaigns from her future to wow her clients, and she can fix the fights that doomed her relationship with Jackson.
Or can she?

Paper Hearts

Aha! I went to the mall yesterday to buy my dad some candy. I also bought some hair dye and make-up. lol. After that, I went to the Tokyo store to buy some paper to make paper stars (because I ran out of it). I wanted the thick ones to make big stars. I was all excited when I got home because I can make more stars, but to my surprise, I didn't buy the right paper. I bought paper to make paper hearts! (thanks to my sister because she was the one who noticed it was for making hearts) I was kind of pissed, but I ended up liking it anyways because it was different. I didn't know how to do it at first because the instructions were in Korean. -___- but yeah I eventually figured it out on my own. And now I am making more hearts and putting them together with my stars to look pretty :) I posted two pictures (front and back of the pack). It's kind of blurry because I didn't use a digital camera.

Something Borrowed

Something Borrowed is the book that I am currently reading right now. It has been weeks since I started reading it, and I'm still not done with it. I bought this at a $1 bookstore at Lakewood Mall. It is a fun read and I would recommend it to others.

Here is the summary written at the back of the book:
Meet Rachel White, a young attorney living and working in Manhattan. Rachel has always been the consummate good girl-until her thirtieth birthday, when her best friend Darcy throws her a party. That night, after too many drinks, Rachel ends up in bed with Darcy's fiance. Although she wakes up determined to put the one-night fling behind her, Rachel is horrified to discover that she has genuine feelings for the one guy she should run from. In her wildest dreams (or worst nightmare?) this is the last thing on earth Rachel could ever have imagined happening. As the September wedding date nears, Rachel knows she has to make a choice. In doing so, she discovers that the lines between right and wrong can be blurry, endings aren't always neat, and sometimes you have to risk all to win true happiness. Something Borrowed is a phenomenal debut novel that will have you laughing, crying, and calling your best friend.

I'm enjoying reading this because of its story. I am rooting for the protagonist, even though stealing your best friend's fiance is wrong. There are intimate and funny scenes which I really like. I am currently on the 17th chapter out of 25. I am trying to finish it as fast as I could because I bought a new book the other day. haha. I will post the other book when I start to read it :]
